Behind our first Softroom Collection: The Liminal Series
The Liminal Series holds a special place in my heart. For me, it’s more than just a collection of jewelry—it’s a meditation on transition, growth, and the beauty found in the in-between moments of life. The word liminal itself refers to thresholds, the spaces where one thing ends and another begins, where clarity is elusive, and yet, transformation quietly unfolds. This series was born from my personal reflections on those very spaces in my own life—the moments when I felt neither here nor there but learned that those moments held the most profound lessons.
When I began designing the Liminal Series, I found myself at a point of introspection. I was reevaluating what success means to me and trying to let go of external measures like numbers or recognition. I wanted to create something that didn’t just sit on someone’s wrist or neck but carried a deeper resonance, like a whisper of encouragement for those navigating their own transitions. The designs themselves came from a mixture of intentionality and spontaneity. As I worked on this collection, I found myself drawing inspiration from nature and its own liminal spaces—dawn breaking into day, the shifting tide, or the stillness between the last breath of winter and the first bloom of spring. These natural thresholds remind me that transitions aren’t always loud or dramatic; sometimes, they’re subtle and ask us to listen closely to our own inner voices.

I’ve always been drawn to creating something meaningful, but Swanairé has challenged me to be patient, intentional, and present with my work.
